Mavs Win: 8 - 4
The Mavs avenged an early season loss to the Pinckney Pirates (15-9) in a decisive 8-4 win Saturday night in the Regional Semifinals at Chelsea.
Milford (16-9) was led by Jack Clickett who had two goals and three assists. Adam Moule and Mack Musialowski both had two goals and two assists. Matthew Rowe and James Pennebaker each scored and Pierce Ashcroft had three helpers. Luke McIntyre, Stevan Vujic, Shane Quinn and Brenden Maszatics all had assists.
Cooper Langley was solid between the pipes with 35 saves.
Moule earned the coveted Chain for his stellar efforts at both ends of the ice sheet.
The Mavs head back to the Arctic Coliseum Wednesday for a 6PM Regional Championship tilt against Chelsea in an attempt to capture their first Regional Championship since 2000!

The Mavs nine game winning streak was snapped by the Livonia Churchill Chargers Wednesday.
The Chargers (12-6-3) scored 4 goals, including an empty netter, to Milford's one.
The Mavs (15-9) travel to Jackson Lumen Christi Friday for their last game of the regular season before Regionals start Saturday Feb 26 at Chelsea against the winner of Pinckney/Dexter.
LVC Conference Co-Champions Milford is the #1 seed in the Region and earned a first round bye.

Mavs Win: 4 - 2
The Mavs honored their Seniors and Parents with a hard fought 4-2 home win against rink mates Fenton/Linden Unified Monday night, their ninth win in a row.
Milford (15-8) was able to dig deep and find what it took to beat the Griffins (15-8) after learning an hour before the game that they had clinched a share of the LVC Conference Championship, their first title since 2000!
In an interesting aside, Milford's Head Coach in 2000 was Gary Quitiquit, a Mavs current assistant and valuable addition to the Program this season. Congrats Coach Quits!
Jack Clickett scored two goals, Mack Musialowski and Luke McIntyre each had one. Pierce Ashcroft, Tucker Combs, Ryan Okragly and Brenden Maszatics all had helpers. Cooper Langley made 21 saves in net for Milford.
Clickett earned The Chain for his two goals, going 14-2 on face offs and his strong play at both ends of the ice sheet.
The Mavs travel to Livonia Churchill on Wednesday and Jackson Lumen Christi Friday in their last two games of the regular season before taking on the winner of Pinckney Dexter in Regionals at Chelsea Feb 26.
Thank You and Congratulations to our Seniors for their contributions in helping make Milford Hockey the current 25th ranked high school hockey team in the State, regardless of Division, and securing the LVC crown for the first time in 22 years!

Mavs Win: 9 - 5
The Mavs traveled to Suburban Macomb Arena Friday night and came away with a gritty 5-2 comeback win over the Anchor Bay Tars. Mack Musialowski erupted for three third period goals to lead Milford to the victory and Cooper Langley made 24 saves in net. Matthew Rowe scored a pair to aid the cause.
Less than 24 hours later, Milford headed East again, this time to Lakeland for a matinee rematch with Lakes Area, who had beaten the Mavs earlier in the year. Milford (14-8) picked up their 8th in a row and 13th win in the past 16 games, turning the tables on the Waterford Mott and Kettering, Walled Lake Central and West Bloomfield Unified squad with a 9-5 victory.
Mack Musialowski netted four goals, totaling seven goals in less than 24 hours! Moose collected his team leading 51st point and 27th goal during his productive weekend. Jack Clickett and Pierce Ashcroft both had two goals and Matthew Rose also scored to keep his goal scoring streak alive at eight games. Adam Moule and Ashcroft each had three assists, while Clickett, Brady Flanigan and Brenden Maszatics all had one assist. Cooper Langley netted his 14th victory between the pipes for the Mavs.
Milford hosts Fenton/Linden Monday at 7PM in the last Home game of the season. The Mavs will be honoring our Seniors - Pierce Ashcroft, Tucker Combs, Brenden Maszatics, Luke McIntyre, Adam Moule, James Pennebaker, Matthew Rowe and their Parents for their contributions and dedication to Milford Hockey, currently ranked 20th overall in the State in the MHSAA MPR computer rankings.

Mavs Win: 5 - 1
The Mavs (12-8) came to play Wednesday night in a successful effort to avenge an earlier loss to rival Lakeland (12-8-1) with a convincing 5-1 win in the Seventeenth Annual Matthew Langley Foundation Rivalry Showdown.
Cooper Langley stood on his melon with 34 saves and certainly made his Family and Foundation proud! Cooper earned The Chain for his focus, huge saves and determination to flip the script on the last Lakeland tilt.
Jack Clickett continued his scoring in buckets with a goal and an assist for his eighth point in the past three games. Stevan Vujic sniped a one timer from the point on a moving puck for the game winner in the second period. Seniors Matthew Rowe and Luke McIntyre both scored, and James Pennebaker tickled the twine with a highlight reel shorty (ESPN Top Ten I'm thinking) early in the third to put the game pretty much out of reach for the well coached Eagles. Senior Captain Adam Moule chipped in with two assists, while Shane Quinn, Brenden Maszatics and multi sport athlete Brady Flanigan each had helpers.
Milford travels to Suburban Macomb for a Friday night scrap against New Baltimore/Anchor Bay before facing off against Waterford United (Kettering and Mott), Walled Lake Central and West Bloomfield (yep, all one team) Saturday afternoon at Lakeland.

Mavs Win: 8 - 0
The Mavs picked up their second win in as many nights and their ninth win in their last eleven games with a decisive 8-0 victory over Rochester Stoney Creek, the team that ended Milford's season last year in Regionals.
Pierce Ashcroft picked up his 100th point as a Mav and finished with one goal and two assists and now has 101 total points in his third season as a Milford Hockey representative. Congrats and thanks Pierce!
Jack Clickett continued his hot streak with two goals to go along with two assists. Matthew Rowe, Luke McIntyre and James Pennebaker each had a goal and an assist, while Moose Musialowski and Brenden Maszatics both scored. Adam Moule had two apples and quarterbacked the power play with precision while Ryan Okragly, Shane Quinn and Thomas Kennedy IV chipped in with helpers.
McIntyre claimed The Chain considering his point production, shot blocks, penalty killing prowess, and lead by example efforts.
Cooper Langley earned the shutout with 18 saves and now has stopped 53 of the last 55 shots he has faced in the past two victories!
The Mavs travel to Lakeland Sunday for a matinee rematch against league foe Walled Lake Northern with a 3:30 drop to try to make it three W's in three days.

Mavs Win: 4 - 2
The Mavs beat South Lyon Unified 4-2 Friday night at Brighton.
Pierce Ashcroft had two goals, Matthew Rowe a goal and an assist, Jack Clickett had a goal, Thomas Kennedy IV had two helpers and Brenden Maszatics chipped in with an assist.
Cooper Langley had a strong game in net with 25 saves for Milford (9-8) which earned him The Chain, while his counterpart Jake Koth made 21 saves for SLU (10-5).
The Mavs host Rochester Stoney Creek 7:30 tonight at Hartland before traveling to Lakeland Sunday for a matinee rematch against Walled Lake Northern at 3:30.

Mavs Win: 8 - 1
The Mavs beat the Grand Haven/Spring Lake Unified Buccaneers 8-1 Saturday morning in the Chelsea Showcase.
Milford (8-8) was hoping to play a higher ranked team in the Showcase and came out hot against a young Bucs squad while amassing 55 shots on the busy Grand Haven (5-11) tendy.
Three Mavs netted their first goals of the season, Tucker Combs, Stevan Vujic and Brady Flanigan, while Mack Musialowski and Matthew Rowe each pumped home two apiece, before Ryan Okragly finished off the scoring with just over five minutes left in the contest. Shane Quinn, Thomas Kennedy IV, Luke McIntyre, Pierce Ashcroft and Musialowski each had one assist. Adam Moule and Vujic both had two assists.
Cooper Langley made nine saves for the win in net.
Sophomore Vujic was awarded The Chain for his team leading plus four, stellar defensive play and three points.
The Mavs have Sunday off before going on a twelve day run, including six games, starting with a Home game against Northville, 8PM at Hartland.

Mavs Lose: 2 - 5
Milford traveled to Royal Oak Saturday to face Top 10 State Ranked M-1 Griffins Unified (Berkley and Royal Oak) in their quest to rebound from the Lakeland game the night before.
The Mavs battled the talented Griffins (11-2) before eventually losing 5-2 in a hard fought, gritty tilt.
Milford scorers were Mack Musialowski and Matthew Rowe, while Adam Moule, Jack Clickett and Musialowski had assists.
Mav tendy Cooper Langley was big in the nets with 43 saves to keep Milford (6-8) within striking distance for most of the game against the high powered Griffins.
The Mavs head to the KVIH Friday January 21 for a 6PM drop against league foe Walled Lake Western Warriors.

The Mavs picked up their fifth win in a row with a hard fought 4-3 victory over the Walled Lake Northern Knights (11-8) Sunday at Lakeland.
Jack Clickett had a goal and two assists, Matthew Rowe, James Pennebaker and Brenden Maszatics all scored, Shane Quinn had two assists, and Adam Moule and Thomas Kennedy IV each had an assist. Cooper Langley made 23 saves in net for Milford (11-8) including a big breakaway save late in the third period to help preserve the win.
Adam Moule was awarded The Chain for his lock down defensive performance and well timed breakout passes.
The Mavs host rival Lakeland Wednesday at 8PM for the Langley Cup.

Mavs Win: 6 - 4
The Mavs picked up their fifth win in the past six games by defeating D1 state ranked Grandville Bulldogs 6-4 Saturday night at Hartland.
Milford (6-6) took a 3-2 lead into the third after James Pennebaker banged home a rebound with just 16 ticks left in the second period. The Mavs followed that with two power play goals in the first minute of the third to make it 5-2. The Bulldogs (10-2) scored two goals with their goalie pulled in the last three minutes of the game to make it interesting, but the Mavs held on for the big 'W.'
Mack Musialowski led Milford with 2 goals and 2 assists, Pierce Ashcroft had a goal and 2 assists, Matthew Rowe and Jack Clickett both had one and one, and Adam Moule, Stevan Vujic and Thomas Kennedy IV each had an assist.
Sophomore Cooper Langley continued his strong play with 34 saves to backstop the Mavs to the upset win.
Milford plays league foes Walled Lake Northern and Lakeland this week before traveling to Royal Oak for a Saturday matinee against the highly ranked M-1 Griffins.

Mavs Win: 7 - 3
The Mavs (5-6) started the New Year with a hard fought 7-3 victory over league foe Walled Lake Western Warriors (7-3) Thursday night at Hartland.
Jack Clickett lit the lamp just two minutes into the contest with assists from Senior Captain Matthew Rowe and Brenden Maszatics. Milford finished the first period with a healthy 3-0 lead, led 5-3 after two before putting the game out of reach with two quick goals to start the third period.
Clickett finished with two goals and one assist, while team point leader Mack Musialowski netted two goals, Rowe and Maszatics each had a goal and two assists, Pierce Ashcroft had one and one, while Stevan Vujic, Thomas Kennedy IV and Will Fulton each had an assist. The assist was Freshmen Fulton's first as a Mav.
Milford Sophomore tendy Cooper Langley had a stellar first period and strong overall game to backstop the Mavs to their fifth victory.
Milford hosts the #3 ranked team in the State, the Grandville Bulldogs, Saturday afternoon, 4:30 at Hartland. C'mon out and help cheer on our boys to victory as they give their all to represent our Community!

Mavs Win: 5 - 3
The Mavs beat a tough Walled Lake Western Warriors 5-3 Friday night at Brighton.
Milford (7-8) managed to kill two five on three penalties in the last four minutes of the game to escape with the victory before Jack Clickett iced the battle with a goal with 14 ticks left in the game on a sweet setup by Pierce Ashcroft.
Ashcroft finished with two goals and two assists, Clickett had two assists to go along with his goal, Brenden Maszatics had one and one, Mack Musialowski dished three assists and Freshmen Will Fulton scored his first goal of the season and played solid all-around hockey to earn The Chain.
Cooper Langley made 27 saves in net for the win and came up big during the late third period penalty kills.
The Mavs travel to Arctic Coliseum Saturday for a 10AM tilt against Grand Haven in the Chelsea Showcase.

Mavs Lose: 4 - 8
The Mavs suffered their first defeat after three straight W's in a valiant effort against South Lyon Unified (South Lyon and South Lyon East).
Ryan Savanyu netted the hat trick for SLU (4-0) while netminder Jacob Koth made 27 saves to lead SLU to the victory.
Milford (4-6) was paced by Junior Mack Musialowski with one goal and two assists and Senior liney Pierce Ashcroft with two goals. Junior Jack Clickett also scored for the Mavs while Captain Adam Moule, Luke McIntyre and Thomas Kennedy IV pitched in with assists.
Mav tendy Cooper Langley battled through a lower body issue and made 34 saves in an awesome display of grit and toughness.
Mav Junior sniper Musialowski picked up his 100th point as a Mav and is on pace to possibly breaking the Milford High School record for total points as a Maverick!
The Mavs travel to the Kensington Valley Ice House to take on league foe Walled Lake Western Wednesday at 7PM.

Mavs Win: 8 - 5
Mav's Captain Adam Moule lit the lamp just 14 seconds off the opening draw to set the tone for Milford's 8-5 win over Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard/Greenhills Unified Wednesday night at home.
The Mavs improved to 5-4, while the early season, highly ranked Irish fell to 3-1.
Milford was led by Junior Moose Musialowski with three goals and four assists, which put him in the top ten of all high school point getters, while Senior liney Pierce Aschroft had a big night with a hatty plus three assists. Moule filled the stat sheet with four helpers along with his early goal, and Brenden Maszatics netted a short handed goal in the third to put the game pretty much out of reach, and also assisted on one of Moose's hat trick snipes. Junior Jack Clickett chipped in with an assist and is on the verge of being a stat sheet stuffer probably as soon as the next game.
Sophomore tendy Cooper Langley made 33 saves in net for the win, including a couple of third period beauties to preserve the Mavs third victory in a row.
The Mavs' demeanor and focus were helped by last year's Captains Austin Combs and Zoom Bowring pepping out in the locker room during the period breaks, which certainly contributed to tonight's big win.
Milford hosts league foe SLU Unified (South Lyon and South Lyon East) Saturday at home at 7:30PM.
C'mon out and cheer, and dance, and sing, and yell. We've got some hardworking Milford Hockey classmates trying to do our best representing our Community with class, composure and tenacity.

Mavs Win: 4 - 2
Milford bussed to the Birmingham Civic Arena Saturday night to face the always tough Birmingham Unified (Groves and Seaholm) Kings (5-2) who were coming off of a 10-0 drubbing of Stoney Creek Friday night.
The Mavs (3-5) beat the Kings 4-2 for their first back-to-back victories of the season.
Mack Musialowski continued his torrid scoring pace with a hatty and and a helper while liney Pierce Ashcroft netted a goal and an assist, Adam Moule pitched in with two assists and a lockdown defensive effort, and Luke McIntyre and Matthew Rowe each added an assist.
Cooper Langley was solid between the pipes with 16 saves.
Milford hosts Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard/Greenhills Unified Wednesday at 8PM. Come on out and join the Frozone as the Mavs go for their third in a row.

Mavs Win: 5 - 2
The Mavs finally had their full team together December 7 as they welcomed the FNV Unified Griffins to Hartland and the home of the Frozone Student Section.
Milford beat a solid Griffin squad with an outstanding team effort after their recent rough stretch, 5-2.
The Mavs were led by high scoring Junior Mack Musialowski with two goals and an assist, Pierce Ashcroft with one goal and two assists, Captain Adam Moule with one and one, Jack Clickett with a snipe and Luke McIntyre with a helper.
Cooper Langley made 23 saves for the win, including several outstanding stops, while FNV tendy Ryan Quackenbush finished with 23 saves.
The game marked the return of the Mavs' Clickett and Ashcroft to the Milford lineup, which helped energize the Mavs after the gut wrenching, late game loss to WLNorth.

The Mavs had a rough go if it with crosstown rival Lakeland Friday night losing 7-0.
Lakeland managed three short handed goals to go along with four even strength goals to put a damper on Milford's LVC League Championship hopes.
The Eagles were led by Fisher Christian with one goal an four assists and Luke Weinberger's hat trick. Paul Baker made 33 saves in net for Lakeland for the shutout while the Mav's Cooper Langley had 35 saves.
Milford was represented by a loud and raucous student section that made it out to Lakeland Arena for the always entertaining matchup between the hockey rivals.

Mavs Lose: 1 - 2
The Mavs played a disciplined brand of hockey, but ended up on the wrong side of the board losing 2-1 in OT to the Walled Lake Northern Knights December 1 at Hartland.
Milford held a 1-0 lead on a goal by Captain Adam Moule with an assist from Brenden Maszatics for most of the game until the Knights tied the game with only 36 seconds to go with their goalie pulled. North completed the comeback just two minutes into OT in a crushing defeat to the hardworking Mavs.
Cooper Langley again played solid in net for Milford with 26 saves while the Knights' Jonah Stern had 28.

Mavs Lose: 1 - 3
Milford welcomed the Franklin Patriots November 26 for a post Thanksgiving matinee tilt at Hartland.
Dustin Fretter netted the hat trick for the Pats, including an empty netter in the last minute to lead Franklin to their first win of the season, 3-1 over the short benched Mavs.
Ryan Okragly scored with an assist from Mack Musialowski as Milford was only able to get one goal by Patriot tendy Brendan Peterson, who finished the afternoon with 39 saves. Cooper Langley also played well in net for Milford with 21 saves.

Mavs Lose: 1 - 3
The Mavs traveled to Chelsea's Arctic Coliseum to take on the Pinckney Pirates November 24.
Milford fell to the Pirates 3-1. Captain Matthew Rowe scored for the Mavs with a helper from Mack Musialowski.
The game was marred by a brawl that resulted in four Pirate ejections and a Pinckney fan ejection from the rink in a brutal display of high school athletics.
Cooper Langley made 15 saves for the Mavs while Maximillian Lederer stopped 29 shots.

Mavs Win: 3 - 1
The Mavs recovered from Friday night's loss to The Soo with a tight 3-1 victory over the Big Rapids Cardinals Saturday afternoon at the Big Bear Arena. The game followed a breakfast hosted by the Soo Elks for the four teams participating in the Showcase - Milford, Lakeland, The Soo and Big Rapids.
Junior Mack Musialowski had a goal and an assist, Captain Adam Moule and Jack Clickett also scored and Shane Quinn added an assist.
Cooper Langley made 27 saves in net to lead the Mavs to their first victory of the season while Cardinal netminder Tyler Blanchard made 22.

Mavs Lose: 3 - 5
The Mavs traveled to Sault Ste. Marie the weekend of November 20 for a two game showcase, an annual early season overnight bus trip that always proves to be a memorable occassion.
Milford lost to the Soo Blue Devils 5-3 Friday night at the Big Bear Arena. Mack Musialowski had a goal and two assists, Pierce Ashcroft and Jack Clickett each scored, and Luke McIntyre added an assist.
The Mavs stuffed the stat sheet with penalties and were unable to overcome their undisciplined play.
Cooper Langley made 25 saves in net for Milford while Tristan Forgrave made 17 for the Soo Devils.

Mavs Lose: 3 - 4
The Mavs kicked off their new season November 17 with a 4-3 OT loss to Lakes Area, a unified team consisting of Walled Lake Central, Waterford's Mott and Kettering, and West Bloomfield.
Mack Musialowski, Matthew Rowe and Ryan Okragly scored for the Mavs while Pierce Ashcroft, Jack Clickett and Thomas Kennedy IV each had an assist.
Cooper Langley made 20 saves in net for the Mavs while Lakes Area tendy Michael Baxter had 24 saves.
