HVS Gymnastics Tops Linden in LVC Opener

Huron Valley United Gymnastics competed in their first LVC meet on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019. They had an awesome meet beating the Linden-Fenton-lake Fenton team 139.1- 134.475. Top Performers on vault were Lakeland gymnasts Halie Martin taking the top score with an 8.9, Nicole Graham with an 8.8 and Rachel Palaian & Maeve Spicer with 8.65’s. Bars top scores went to Maeve Spicer and Rachel Palaian with 8.425. Lakeland’s Nicole Graham took top score on Beam with a 9.0 and floor with an amazing 9.4. Lakeland’s Erin Murphy took second on beam and floor with 8.625 and 9.225 on floor.
The team is getting into the heart of the season with 8 meets in January including the Jeanne Caruss Memorial Invitational on Jan. 25-26. The girls are progressing well, competing clean routines and adding more difficulty as we get into the season.
