BERKLEY HIGH SCHOOL: 7

Freshmen Mack Musialowski erupted for five goals to lead Milford to a 10-7 victory Saturday night at Hartland over the M-1 Griffins Unified, a team comprised predominately of Berkley High School hockey players, on a night celebrating Milford's four Seniors and their Parents.

The Griffins' Josh Dudovitz, an Elite Brigade veteran, lit the lamp just 31 seconds after puck drop for a 1-0, short lived lead, as Musialowski answered 29 seconds later to tie it, with assists to lineys Pierce Ashcroft and leading scorer Austin Combs.

The teams traded goals and ended the first tied at 3.

Milford (13-11) scored 33 seconds into the second, Musialowski from Ashcroft with the pair connecting again on their next shift to give the Mavs a two goal lead early in the frame.  Senior Tristan Ingram-Reeve gave Milford a seemingly comfortable 3 goal lead with help from Senior Captain Ben Kozar and Junior Josh Raya before the Griffins pumped in two quick goals with over three minutes left in the period to make it 6-5. The Mavs Luke McIntyre extended the lead to 2 at the 2:00 mark of the second, with an assist from Combs.

Milford started the third strong, as Musialowski buried a breakaway off of a sweet stretch feed from Kazuma Bowring to make it 8-5 merely 27 seconds in for the Mavs, the third time Milford scored in the first minute of a period in the game.

The Griffins weren't done, as they scored two goals with under five minutes remaining to bring it back to a one goal game before Ashcroft scored, his first of the contest to go along with four assists, with 1:34 left from Combs, his third apple.  Kozar twined the empty net with 12 seconds left to complete the scoring and give the Mavs their third win in a row.

Milford stellar netminder Senior Tyler Kerr finished with 37 saves.

Freshmen Shane Quinn also factored in the scoring with an assist on Musialowski's second goal.

The Mavs travel to the Rochester Onyx next Saturday for a 4:15 drop against Oxford/Avondale in their final regular season tilt before their February 26 Regional rematch with Cranbrook Kingswood at Southfield Civic.

"On behalf of Milford High School and Milford Hockey, a huge Thank You to our four graduating Seniors, Tyler Tori, Ben Kozar, Tristan Ingram-Reeve, Tyler Kerr and their Parents for everyone's contribution to our Program.  You will be missed," said fourth year Head Coach Gagnon.
