The Mavs lost Thursday night to the Rochester Stoney Creek Cougars 4-1 at the Onyx in Rochester.
Milford took a 1-0 lead into the third period from a first period goal from Senior Ben Kozar with assists from Seniors Brendan Engel and Tyler Tori, before the hardworking and motivated Cougars pumped in four third period goals, one short handed and one empty netter with 2:50 left, to earn the comeback victory.
The Mavs' Tyler Kerr made 43 saves, including several beauties as he continued his stellar play between the pipes for Milford, while his counterpart Ben Rupprecht made 24 saves for Stoney Creek. The Cougars' Will Boyer led Creek with two goals and one assist.
The Mavs travel to Lakeland Arena Saturday for a 2PM tilt with West Bloomfield.
The boys need the MavManiacs in full force Saturday as they attempt to get back in the winner's circle.
