The Mavs fired nearly 40 shots on Livonia Franklin goalie Brenden Pedersen, most in the high quality area known as the Dog House, but could only muster six goals and settled for a tie Wednesday night at Hartland.
Milford was led by Sophomore Austin Combs who scored one goal along with four assists, Junior Tristan Ingram-Reeve with two goals, Kaz Bowring with one goal and two assists, Juniors Tyler Tori and Ben Kozar with a goal each, Freshmen Luke McIntyre with two assists and Senior Kevin Mozel with one helper.
Milford had several quality chances in the OT session, including a breakaway, but Pedersen stood tall to secure the tie for the Patriots.
Freshmen tendy Harris Partyka made 15 saves in his fourth start for the Mavs, including a couple of beauties late in the game.
