The Mavs traveled to East Lansing Saturday afternoon for a run at the undefeated Okemos Chiefs, a team comprised of Okemos student/athletes and four Fowlerville High School hockey players.

Milford fell behind 3-0 after one period, and 5-1 after two, before losing 6-1.

Junior Tristan Ingram-Reeve, Milford's Student Manager two seasons ago, notched his second goal of the season in the second period to give the Mavs some hope, but Milford was unable to overcome the Chiefs and two questionable unsportsmanlike conduct calls that both resulted in power play goals for Okemville.  Senior Captain Kevin Mozel was credited with an assist on Ingram-Reeves' goal.

Junior Tyler Kerr was busy in net again for the Mavs with 36 saves.

"We're usually a pretty composed team, so those two after the whistle calls were definitely out of character."

The Mavs host last year's inaugural Lakes Valley Conference League Champs, South Lyon Unified, Tuesday 5:30PM at Hartland.
