Milford Mavericks Varsity Blows Away Mott by 14 Runs

Milford Mavericks Varsity cruised to an easy victory over Mott 18-4 on Thursday

Milford Mavericks Varsity got things started in the first inning when Taylor Mitchell doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Milford Mavericks Varsity notched seven runs in the sixth inning. Milford Mavericks Varsity's big inning was driven by singles by Devon Beale and Annabel Williamson, an error on a ball put in play by Williamson and Kayla Pennebaker, a walk by Amelia Price, and a double by Lauren Carrannanto.

Jenna Carlisle led the Milford Mavericks Varsity to victory on the rubber. She went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out five.

Vanessa Summers took the loss for Mott. She allowed 17 hits and 18 runs over five and two-thirds innings.

Milford Mavericks Varsity hit one home run on the day. Carlisle went yard in the first inning for her first ever home run.   

Milford Mavericks Varsity had 17 hits in the game. Williamson, Zoe Shettler, Mitchell, and Beale each managed multiple hits for Milford Mavericks Varsity. Beale, Mitchell, Shettler, and Williamson each collected three hits to lead Milford Mavericks Varsity.

Mikhayla Barber led Mott with two hits in three at bats.
