Milford Mavericks Varsity Takes a Tough Blow From Walled Lake Northern

Milford Mavericks Varsity couldn't keep up with Walled Lake Northern and fell 13-3 on Friday.

Milford Mavericks Varsity got things started in the first inning when Sammy Knapp singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Walled Lake Northern pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Jordayn Roel singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Alex Kamin singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, and Shaylin Ciaramitaro singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Walled Lake Northern scored seven runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Walled Lake Northern was led by Kaycee Loehr, Ashley Brown, Kylie Hatfield, and Ciaramitaro, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Allisa DiPrima pitched Walled Lake Northern to victory. She surrendered three runs on five hits over six innings, striking out one.

Jenna Carlisle took the loss for Milford Mavericks Varsity. She went five and a third innings, allowing ten runs on 17 hits, striking out two and walking zero.

Knapp went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Milford Mavericks Varsity in hits.

Walled Lake Northern racked up 21 hits in the game. DiPrima, Loehr, Jenna Kroll, Hatfield, Ciaramitaro, and Roel each had multiple hits for Walled Lake Northern. DiPrima led Walled Lake Northern with four hits in four at bats. Walled Lake Northern didn't commit a single error in the field. McKenzie Knight had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
