Poor field conditions moved all Saturday games to Sunday in Grand Blanc at the Michigan Stars Tournament this past weekend.

Milford Mavericks Varsity Softball was able to go 2 and 1 for the day sandwiching wins against Grosse Point Northe, 4-2 and Birmingham Seaholm, 13-4 around a loss to Clarkston, 5-14.

Against GP Northe, Jenna Carlisle pitched a complete game 8-hitter while Lauren Carrannanto had 2 hits and as a team, Milford committed no errors.

The second game of the day came against a strong Clarkston team that scored 7 runs in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings.  Milford was able to collect 8 hits on the day with Amelia Price producing 3 singles and Devon Beale with a single and a double.  Taylor Mitchell, Lauren Carrannanto and Jenna Calisle each had an RBI while Beale collected 2.

Milford Mavericks rebounded from the loss to defeat Birmingham Seaholm 13-4.  Milford scored 8 runs in the second inning on RBI's from Price, Allison Smith, Lauren Carrannanto, Mitchell, Beale and Sammy Knapp.  Beale and Smith each had 3 hits for the game with both collecting triples.  Mitchell and Price led the Mavs in RBI's with 3 each.

Weather permitting, the Mavs are at Walled Lake Central on Thursday and host Walled Lake Northern on Friday.
