Things to Know for Competitive Cheer!

Season Begins is Nov 9th -

Varsity runs to  March 6th(States)if we qualify

Jv/Freshman end mid Feb.

*STS Training with Steve Gauthier: Has been a direct key to our success helping with Injury prevention along with Strength and Flexibility.  

$5.oo per visit - We will continue to use STS throughout our competitive Season.

Detroit Tumble with BK Kavulic.  BK is a certified instructor with Cheer College experience.  He brings a wealth of knowledge, positivity and enthusiasm to our program  $10 a week for instruction and training

COMPETITIVE CHEER TRYOUTS ARE: @ MHS AUX GYM! Dress appropriately and Mask Required

Monday Nov 9th 4:30- 7pm

Tues, Nov 10th 2:45-5pm 

Wed, Nov 11th 4:30-7pm FORMAL TRYOUT

Thursday Prac Will Begin for Both Teams!

More Info: During the months of November and December we will prepare the teams for our upcoming season.  This includes choreography, tumbling, and strength training.  We are working on putting practice calendars together.  Below is an overall generalization of our schedule. 

Nov and Dec we will practice  4 days a week until our competitions begin!

Varsity Team- Monday  Tumbling & STS, Tues & Thurs after school, Wednesday evenings.  

 Friday’s, flex days     Additional practices could be added for snow days, new Choreography, unforeseen circumstances .. determined by the coach  * Google Calendar is Available

JV  Team:- Monday Tumbling & STS or Prac, Tues & Thurs Practice  * Additional Practices could be added due to unforeseen circumstances  * Google Calendar Available

Tentative League Competitions  

Will be on Wednesday evenings starting at 6pm start.

Jan 13th, 20th 27th, Feb 3rd,  Varsity League Meet

January 20th and Feb 3rd   JV/Freshman League Meet 

League Championship- Feb 6th @ Waterford Kettering

Feb 13th- Varsity Only Grand Rapids Stay- Compete @ the Delta Plex

Feb 20th  Varsity Districts @ Howell

Feb 27th  Varsity  Regionals
