Walled Lake Central Captures Lead Early to Defeat Milford Mavericks Varsity

Milford Mavericks Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 14-3 loss to Walled Lake Central on Thursday. Walled Lake Central took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

The Milford Mavericks Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Walled Lake Central, giving up 14 runs.

Walled Lake Central got on the board in the first inning. Kaitlyn Fick homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Walled Lake Central scored four runs in the second inning. Walled Lake Central big bats were led by Jessica Johnson, Rylie Josephson, and Eliana Eiland, who all drove in runs.

Emma McGrath was the winning pitcher for Walled Lake Central. She went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out two.
