In a unprecedented  show of skiing prowess, the Lady Mavs Ski Team rocked both the slalom and giant slalom course to best a field of twelve teams to finish in first place and qualify for the state finals at Schuss Mountain on February 25th. Alex Youngblood, Riley Watts both double medal winners ,anchored the team, with Maddy Melody earned top 10 honors as well. The day was really saved, when we had a couple of girls go down, and Ashleigh McFall and Sierra Staman made up for those mistakes.

On the boys side the team went in knowing they had an outside chance of qualifying for the State Finals. The guys were able to put it all together and qualified for States finishing third out of a twelve teams. First on team was Blake Kerwin, followed by Logan Woznak, Sawyer Richards, Max Wilkerson, Joe Antrim, Carson  Chamberlain and Will Quane. This is the first time the boys have qualified for the State Finals.

Overall an absolutely  great day for the Mighty Mavericks!
