The Huron Valley United gymnastics Team made the snowy trip up to Vassar for a dual competition on Saturday.   They beat the Vassar team with a score of 140.225- 131.095.  Many great routines and regional qualifying scores.  Top Vault score was Lakeland junior, Rachel Palaian, Top Bar score was Lakeland Sophomore Nicole Graham with a 8.575, Top Beam scores were Nicole Graham and Milford sophomore Morgan Hester with 8.775 and 8.725.  Top floor score was Milford sophomore, Laura Nowicki with a 9.225.  Every gymnast who competed earned at least one regional qualifying score.  

Huron Valley also took 1st place against Tecumseh and Cass City at a tri-meet today.  Huron Valley scored a 138.725, Tecumseh had a 122.925 and Cass City 107.5.  Floor was the best event with 3 scores in the 9's:  Erin Murphy- 9.25, Rachel Palaian- 9.15 and Laura Nowicki- 9.175.  Vault was another great event.  Nicole Graham-9.15, and Halie Martin 9.0.  Next up is the Jeanne Caruss Memorial Invitational hosted at Lakeland this weekend, 20 teams including many top teams in the state.
