Huron Valley United delivered a strong performance against South Lyon East, recording 12 new personal-best swims and 12 season-best times in an impressive mid-season meet. Several swimmers achieved new postseason qualifying standards. Maddy Kalinowski earned new Oakland County A and MISCA cuts in the 100 Butterfly, while Annabelle Thompson secured a new MISCA cut in the 200 Freestyle. Katie Luo also reached a new Oakland County A cut in the 100 Breaststroke. The standout performance of the meet came from Lauren Sparks, whose hard work throughout the season continues to pay off. Sparks dropped another 3.2 seconds in the 200 Freestyle, bringing her total personal-best improvement to six seconds. She also shaved another 5.2 seconds off her 500 Freestyle, improving her personal best by an impressive 10 seconds overall. With 24 combined personal-best and season-best performances, HVU continues to show tremendous progress as the team moves through the middle of its season.
