Huron Valley United delivered an impressive performance at the Huron Valley Invitational, finishing second overall with 234 points in a competitive six-team field. Novi claimed the team title with 402 points, while HVU finished ahead of Clarkston (210), Hartland (139), Cass Tech (115), and Brandon (108). Annabelle Thompson led the way for HVU with two individual victories. Thompson captured first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a MISCA qualifying time of 1:02.97 and added another first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 2:06.52. Charlotte Smith also delivered a standout performance, winning the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.91. The Mavericks closed out the meet with an exciting victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Charlotte Smith, Maddy Kalinowski, Katie Luo, and Annabelle Thompson combined for a first-place finish with a time of 3:53.32.
