Milford High School

Milford (2-1) defeated White Lake Lakeland (0-4) by a 9-0 score on September 10th. Milford swept all five doubles matches while also taking every singles court in a decisive team performance. At No. 1 singles, Milford’s Blake Stevens (2-1) defeated White Lake Lakeland’s Alex Lapka (0-4), 7-6 (2), 6-1 in a match featuring a first-set tiebreak. Gabriel Smith (1-2) also won a tiebreak opening set at No. 2 singles, then finished off Kian Gordon (0-4), 7-6 (2), 6-3. Milford’s doubles lineup supplied five more victories, including a 6-3, 6-2 win by Braylon Bruegger and Jacob O’Brien at No. 1 doubles. Griffin Powers and Noble Woolace delivered the most dominant result at No. 5 doubles, blanking Eric Naumann and Eli Pryor, 6-1, 6-0. The sweep moved Milford to 2-1 on the season.
