September 10, 2026 | Walled Lake Northern High School The Milford Mavericks continued their impressive start to the 2026 season with a commanding 53-14 road victory over Walled Lake Northern on Thursday night. Behind an explosive offensive performance and a strong defensive effort, the Mavericks secured their third consecutive win to improve to 3-0 on the season. Milford's offense was firing on all cylinders, led by Juliano Iljazi, who racked up 177 yards from scrimmage and found the end zone three times. Bryce Marszalek added 110 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown to help fuel the Mavericks' offensive attack. Quarterback Bentley Moreno delivered an outstanding performance through the air, completing 9 of 14 passes for 211 yards and four touchdowns. Landon Muller also made his presence felt on both sides of the ball, scoring a touchdown and recording a tackle for loss. Defensively, the Mavericks turned in another strong performance. Brayden Lucas led the team with nine tackles, while Billy Ochadleus contributed six tackles, two tackles for loss, and a pass breakup. Luke Perkin added five tackles to round out the defensive effort. The Mavericks' balanced offensive attack and aggressive defense proved too much for the Knights as Milford cruised to the 53-14 victory. With the win, Milford improves to 3-0 on the season, having scored 142 points through its first three games.
