Huron Valley United battled Grand Blanc in a close meet filled with great races and fast swims before falling 97-83. HVU swimmers continued to make big strides in the pool, recording 12 new personal-best times and 12 season-best times on the night, along with several MISCA and Oakland County qualifying cuts. The 200 Medley Relay team of Charlotte Smith, Katie Luo, Annabelle Thompson, and Maddy Kalinowski earned a MISCA qualifying cut. The group of Kalinowski, Smith, Luo, and Thompson also earned a MISCA cut in the 200 Free Relay. Individually, Smith posted a new personal best in the 200 Free, earning an Oakland County B cut, and added MISCA and Oakland County A cuts in the 100 Back. Thompson had a strong night with MISCA and Oakland County A cuts in both the 200 IM and 100 Fly. Kalinowski earned MISCA and Oakland County B cuts in the 50 Free, then added MISCA and Oakland County A cuts in the 100 Free. Luo rounded out the qualifying performances by earning an Oakland County B cut in the 100 Breast. Despite coming up just short on the scoreboard, it was another strong performance for HVU with plenty of fast times and postseason qualifying standards achieved throughout the meet.
