Milford Football made a little history in its dominant 59-0 victory over Walled Lake Central, breaking a 25-year-old school record for the most points scored in a single game. The Mavericks’ offense was firing on all cylinders, led by quarterback Bentley Moreno, who turned in a perfect night through the air. Moreno completed 10-of-10 passes for 168 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Zach Tegler was a force in the red zone, hauling in four receptions for 51 yards and three touchdowns. Bryce “Maserati Marz” Marszalek provided the big-play threat, finishing with three catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. Milford was just as dangerous on the ground. Juliano Iljazi carried the ball seven times for 67 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Jack Courtney added 80 rushing yards on just five carries and a touchdown. While the offense was busy making history, the Milford defense was equally impressive, pitching a shutout and keeping Walled Lake Central off the scoreboard for all four quarters.
