Milford Football Tops Birmingham Seaholm, 30-13, at the Big House Milford Football opened the season on one of the biggest stages in high school football, earning an impressive 30-13 victory over Birmingham Seaholm at Michigan Stadium. The Mavericks delivered a strong performance on both sides of the ball, with several players making major contributions in the win at the Big House. Offensively, Bryce Marszalek found the end zone three times and finished with 138 yards from scrimmage. Marszalek scored twice through the air and added a rushing touchdown while also contributing defensively with four tackles. Quarterback Bentley Moreno led the Milford passing attack, completing 12 of 21 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to create big plays through the air helped the Mavericks put 30 points on the board against the Maples. Juliano Iljazi made an impact on both sides of the football. He added a rushing touchdown offensively and was one of Milford's defensive leaders, finishing with nine tackles and two tackles for loss. Defensively, Luke Perkins also turned in a strong performance with eight tackles and one tackle for loss as the Mavericks held Seaholm to just 13 points. Milford's combination of explosive offense and a strong defensive effort proved to be the difference as the Mavericks walked off the field at Michigan Stadium with a memorable victory.
